We would love to have more #jiujitsu & #martialarts practitioners, #fitness enthusiasts, and good people from all walks of life on our #team and #wearehiring! Our entry level hiring portal is open and lateral applicants are eligible for a 16k signing so us! Previous years of #lawenforcement experience count towards vacation accrual and  eligibility for specialized units. Up to 95.8k in base pay, not counting incentives (an additional 5-17% with a degree + longevity pay). Patrol officers get 4-5 consecutive days off each work cycle and 2 weekends off per month. A few of our new hires got in a quick PT session while meeting some of the young men who train under the #eastsidepugs nonprofit boxing program. David (at the end of this clip) is a 14 year old #southpaw whose family moved to our city from #Kyrgyzstan. He trains with the #eastsidepugs 4 days a week and is one of the many youth who take advantage of this awesome program for youth in our #community. ???⚫️?⚫️??

**Do not try this without supervision from @dongulla **. G-WRAPS (Gulla’s Weapon Retention and Positional Shooting) is one of many techniques in our #defensivetactics curriculum. It was created by retired King County sgt. Don Gulla to address close quarter, gun-out weapon retention when the suspect is trying to disarm the officer. @bellevuewapolicerecruiting teaches it as either a weapon retention system, or as a shooting platform if justified. Sgt. Gulla has taught thousands of law enforcement officers around the world, and G-WRAPS has also been incorporated into other courses like the #graciesurvivaltactics course at @gracieuniversityhq (which also covers the gun in-holster to arm drag I was practicing). My timing with all the moving parts is still not perfect but I’m working on it. Our department has one of the most progressive #defensivetactics curriculums in the country, incorporating principles and techniques from several disciplines including, but not limited to #boxing, #muaythai, #kali, and #jiujitsu. We are also the first department in Washington to include techniques from the #graciesurvivaltactics curriculum taught by @ryrongracie, @renergracie, and @evandroskilla. Our DT instructors have been certified to teach curriculum from the GST course at @gracieuniversityhq to our officers since 2008.
