His unit is responsible for“ setting the standard for community engagement by working together, building trust, and protecting our citizens.” We would love to have more good people from all walks of life on our team and our entry level and lateral hiring portals will reopen in a few months! Up to 95.8k in base pay, not counting incentives (an additional 5-17% with a degree + longevity pay). Patrol officers get 4-5 consecutive days off each work cycle and two weekends off per month. Posted @withrepost • @bellevuewapolicerecruiting Not all officers wear them, but external vests are very popular nowadays due to their comfort and the way they reduce hip and lower back pain versus carrying all your gear on a duty belt. One concern however, are the grips that the vest provides. Unlike a gi, the vest allows a hand to completely encircle pieces of the vest, which makes traditional #judo or #jiujitsu grip breaks less effective. A few of our officers were lucky enough to get invited to a training session with @kcsopio to go over some of the solutions that their cadre have come up with to address various controls that can be obtained from grabbing a vest. We look forward to sharing them with our cadre and playing around with them in our DT room. Has anyone else ever troubleshooted this yet? If so, let me know! Don Gulla to address close quarter, gun-out weapon retention when a suspect is trying to take away the officer’s gun. It can be used as either a stand alone weapon retention system, or as a shooting platform if justified. Sgt. Gulla has taught thousands of law enforcement officers around the world, and GWRAPS has been incorporated into other outstanding #DT courses like the #graciesurvivaltactics course at @gracieuniversityhq. This was the first time I tried it with my @sigsauerinc and @nightsticklighting. I used some 9mm dummy rounds as well.
