You have great eyes for jiu jitsu! Thanks for the vids
Yo these vids have instantly changed my game !!! Never stop ##Lo is a beast
Who do you train under scout? Your breakdowns are awesome. I caught one from Facebook and instantly had to come and subscribe. The detail is great for upper ranking belts. Thank you for the dedication to this sport we all love so much! Atos! Ps Leandro lo is awesome!
thank you all for the kind words, pls do like me on FB!
awesome video, you have a great eye for detail. Classic question but what is the music for this? Its so good I have been watching the video on repeat…
hi thank you, it is X-ray Dog's Screaming Souls
Ive been training for 11 years and have studied matches and instructionals like a madman and these one are some of the coolest vids I've ever seen…hope you continue
yes please do that!!!
thank you for the kind words! I have some others planned
These are the best bjj tutorials on youtube. I've learnt more just from your several videos than I have from entire dvd sets. Please keep it up!
We need more in depth break downs.. translations is what they are.. these simple highlights are amazing.
sounds like Lo needs to do an instructional DVD….!
thanks, just my thoughts, glad you got something out of it
Great Video!
I am probably going to be living on your youtube channel for the next couple of days.
Thanks a ton for the breakdown!
thanks a lot!
Awesome work. keep it up.:)
do you know of which grip side does he prefer to pass to the inside grip or the outside?
hi he uses a neutral grip, either right down the shin line or slightly outside, it depends on whether the guy is using DLR on him as well, in which case he needs to position his grip to still allow him to post down on the DLR knee
Thank you!
hi you can go to the blog (url above ) for more details: "He initiates the pass either with a step, a spin (imagine holding the guarder’s shins and turning a steering wheel), or both, depending on the situation."
Great study! Thanks for posting it!
music is irritating, but tips are good
I have an observation and a question about the pushing the hamstring method – at 3:45, first he passes toward the outside the hamstring hand, next he passes toward the hamstring hand, then two more times alternating. This seems to suggest he prefers to pass to his left, no matter what function the hamstring hand is performing. So this hand on the hamstring is part of a technique, but not THE technique – I just can't distinguish this technique from his step and push.
yes it is a variant, what I was trying to convey is that "double neutral grips" isn't always possible if he is being lasso-ed. Rather than base down/grip fight, he will try the hamstring method and explosively pull up/away like a "pull and step" movement (this is not step and push off the double neutral grip).
yeah, v Ed Ramos Copa Podio, his matches with Michael Langhi….maybe u can FB or email me? I can't put links in these comment boxes
Loving the "LoDrag"
Last night was a great training session I passed the guard of my black belt instructor twice!!!!! thank you Bjj Scout and also Lo!!!
Cool! thanks for the support!
the monster
Good sh*t !
This pass is money. I've been using Lo's variation since watching this video and it has been very successful. Keep up the good work on these videos!
Music?
Really helpful analysis! It is so much better to see that than guy speaking for 5 minuts explaining technique. Awesome!
What does a "neutral" pant grip constitute? I see him gripping low.
what exactly is neutral grip mean? does anybody know?
When he says "Neutral Grip" he means the grip he has on either side of the pant leg, whether high or low is not in a dominant position. Either player can use it to his or her advantage.
Example: The opponent has control of his sleeves while he has grips on his pants rendering both grips neutral… Both players can use their grips to initiate a pass or sweep.
There is however specific places your grips can be placed to make it uncomfortable or hard for them to follow up with their neutral grips. Long legs=lower on the pant legs short legs=closer to the knees on the inside (Forearm following calf)
I prefer the original music (the first edition) ?
This is my second day trying this type of toreando and still dont get the movement. I will keep trying.
You deserve more attention !
Today was sparring day and during my guard passing this music started playing on my head haha
3:10 Is he rolling with a ten-year-old or something? That person is way smaller than him!
why did you change the music??
