About twice a month I try to complete a bunch of #HIIT rounds in uniform (usually on my Friday towards the end of the shift so I can go home and wash everything afterwards). I want to experience how the weight of the gear affects my ability to move in training. Torso flexion is impeded a lot, and torso rotation to deliver strikes is harder too. By the third round you can really feel the extra weight adding up, but better to know in training that to find out when it’s real. 1) #battleropes 2) #kettlebell swings 3) #jiujitsu transitions on the motion master 4) low kicks 5) move/draw, dry fire, move/speed reload, dry fire, move.
