Leg Locks! The thing that most gyms slack on because they are scared of being injured.
Here is the thing:
Once you learn the correct way to apply the leglock which ways to turn and when to tap your chances of being injured go way down. Also let your training partner know if they were to rough on the submission. Sometimes they may not know. If you aren’t comfortable telling them than tell your instructor.
Anyways! As a white belt at any tournament the straight ankle lock is completely legal. Like I said in the video you don’t want to end up like my guy. It was my fault not educating him more. That was a lesson that will stick with me.
Even if you think someone won’t do it still prepare for it.
