The most complete answer on the GOAT topic youβll ever get! My favorite part is βIt depends on the kind of viewer that you areβ
Edit:
As a viewer, my preference is βDominanceβ as the ultimate criterion. Thatβs why Iβll go with Khabib.

Gsp vs Hendricks certainly wasn't completely dominant

It's inaccurate to say Khabib rely on cages to initiate his takedowns, before he joined UFC, all his fights were in a Boxing type of ring, no cages, and even in his earlier fights there were no cages, no walls, no ropes at all, just mats or floors, but still he could took people down many times n submitted his opponents

I do not like George St. Pierre. The end of his welterweight run…not finishing people– the Hendricks fight etc. it got really difficult to watch. I just wanted him to go away. That said, he FOUGHT EVERYBODY. There is absolutely no questioning his caliber of opposition. I will not even go there. Jobbib however has some serious question marks in that regard. Many of his signature perfromances came against weak opposition. Conor was always one dimensional. Michael Johnson– a journeyman, barely a .500 fighter. Gaethje also one dimensional. Like DC, I love "the Human Highlight," but his wrestling is overrated and he has no jits…he is not elite on the ground. Who did Jobbib beat to win the "world title?" Nobody even talks about that guy and I am not going to say his name here either. THAT WAS NOT A LEGIT WORLD TITLE WIN. GSP beats the shit out of Jobbib– ten times out of ten. The stand-up is a horrible mismatch in the French-Canadians favor. The Dagestani is two slow afoot and he would be DESPERATE to get the fight to the ground. Knowing this, GSP could easily out manuever him on the feet utilizing movement– pick him apart, and bust him up. The difference would be the legendary conditioning and timing of GSP. George is not going to get tired. About the time Jobbib realized that he was going to die on the feet, and really start turning up the pressure to secure that takedown, is the moment GSP would put him on his back. Game over. Maybe not a finish. But game over nonetheless. Jobbib is simply too slow afoot, too one dimensional, and would have only one path to victory. GSP however, would have mutliple paths to victory…a complete whitewashing in the stand-up– or most likely, as I said, his total MMA game…striking, wrestling, scrambles. I do not see a whole lot to talk about here. A less provocative, but certainly more entertaining question would be, what would GSP do to the man Jobbib beat to win the world title?
