#tbt One year ago at this time, I was on the @joerogan show pouring my heart out about the obstacles I faced leading up to my @bellatormma title fight. Up to that point only a few of my closest friends & loved ones knew about my brain diagnosis & what I was going through. This was one of the most difficult processes of my life & I was extremely nervous to go on Joe’s show to talk about it. The tremendous support I received from my love @deeana6, my parents, my coaching team, my manager @edblackhouse, & my brother @thebigpygmy was major in helping me have the courage to open up like that on such a big platform. In the end, it was like a therapy session for me. I was able to get it all of my chest at once & didn’t have to continue lying to so many people on a daily basis about why it was taking so long for me to fight again. The massive response of love & support I received from all of you really helped me cope with having to be sidelined & relinquishing my belt. Thank you again Joe for the opportunity to share my story & bring awareness to my condition & thank you all for uplifting me in my time of need. I have continued to learn more about Cavernoma & have never stopped staying positive that one day I would get to come back for one more dance. I still believe & hopefully this will be the year 🙏🏼💪🏼🏆
