Didn't Keenan give Garry shit for not closing earlier. And now he's reversing his stance…. Tanner Rice led the way and he will always have a chair at my table.
Patrick White says
The only way training Jiu-Jitsu will be possible again is if a vaccine is produced, and/or the testing and contact-tracing infrastructure is very well developed, and both of these things are going to take a significant amount of time. A vaccine is, from everything I haved looked at, 18 months away, at the minimum. I'm not sure about test-and-tracing so perhaps there's a chance that can be developed sooner. I commend Keenan's initiative, but I don't think there is anyway that the Jiu-Jitsu community can solve this problem independently; although I sincerely hope I am wrong about all of this.

Ryans the judge, the jury, and the executioner. Either way he's keeping his money. 🤘😎
Nathan McMullen says
People are so committed to their dtom attitude they are going to end up hurting people in the long run. As well as their business, a health code fine is not just a "1000 piece of paper" if you don't pay that shit they can close you down permanently and take away your licenses. Instead of complaining about the fed and banging your head into a wall small businesses need to use this as an opportunity to advocate for reforms.

Keenan: Please help jiu jitsu, Mr Yang.
Andrew Yang: *realizes jiu jitsu business owners are less than 1% of voters. Does DICK ALL.
Me: When will people realize that "Daddy Governent" is using yet another crisis to impose unconstitutional laws? They dont care about us.
Tanner Rice got it right!

The irony is killing me

Tanner rice is a good man! I wish I could train under a strong leader such as he!

I refuse to let my passion and life in Jiu jitsu die for any reason period we've survived all this time and other grappling arts for centuries we will make it I will make it to the top

To be honest, keeping gyms open will eventually increase the risk of infection. I know and understand the situation many gym owners are right now, and why keenan is doing this campaign but, imo the wellbeing of everyone should go first. We don't know how the virus will last if the lockdown lifts but i think it's too early; unless a safety protocol fir every gym is created the risk will continue.
Aldo, when the mcg-khabib post fight study?

Based Tanner Rice
AndrewJiuJitsu says
Those places where gyms are not open better be having a stable or decrease amount of new cases. How a government does not enforce this is beyond me.
Ivan says
yesterday there was like thousands of dumbfucks on huntington beach protesting for beaches being closed
people won't be scared going to the gyms, they'll just have other problems (e.g. financial ones) once this is over, so nobody's priority is going to be bjj training lol
Shepp says
I have never been so disgusted by the BJJ community, you bunch of science denying, right wing, cult followers
Ulysses says
Lulz at "not allowed to make arrests." That is one of the more egregious and bald faced lies I've heard throughout the past two months. I wonder if the "police" he supposedly trains have heard this interview. I don't care that his gym is open but he's a lying sack of shit for making a statement like that.
Luciano Oliveira says
The thing is liability sucks, if someone gets corona and and claims that got it from a bjj gym imagine the lawsuit man😥

Lencioni is no longer GB. The team he was a part of was GB Portland, they however changed affiliation to ATT
paraponera clavata says
Guys… Close combat is not safe for the moment. Until vaccine, maybe the best we can do is focus on working with families. Not single members. Single members can do just some drills… But since social distance isn't about the closer people maybe this could help get through it
Tyler Goodrich says
Mad props to Tanner Rice. If everyone had that kind of will power our tyrannical governments would just give up.
A Plus says
Shout out to Keenan barely saying anything other than "there is a problem." Very helpful.
Tom Jones says
Keenan grandstands about how righteous he was for shutting down no he’s grandstanding about saving jiu jitsu. Lame
NPC 37724 says
Yeah I have the solution just open up and roll like a normal person. Social distancing was only to slow the spread not stop it we're already past the halfway point so there's no reason to not go back to normal. Otherwise we'll go back to our garages and roll without gyms.
Jason Sieckmann says
The solution is to move the training of grappling sports back to their origins: outdoors. Grappling should be done on sand where germs such as MRSA and Covid-19 have to compete with solar radiation. Senegalese wrestling is pretty close to what we need. It was ALWAYS a bad idea to bring these sports indoors.
