Slow down to speed up.
.
.
There are many reasons to slow down your movement training, here are just two.
.
.
1. Slowing down makes you hyper aware of your movement and this increased body awareness will make you more efficient and effective on the mat……particularly a focus on your breathing!
.
.
2. When we slow down we are forced to rely less on the prime mover (superficial) muscles and bring into play the deeper stabilising muscles, that are often in many people, not firing effectively and the cause of many physical problems – been doing lots of work behind the scenes on this! More to come.
