Calling it quits is tough. You never know the right timing when its something you’ve been doing all your life. Very rarely do you get guys who retire but can still challenge for titles. Here is a list of fighters we believe could still compete with the best.

Great video, maybe slow it down a little, I can hardly read it without pausing the vid
Michael Sears says
romulo isn't retired, he just did worlds and will be at adcc this year
Freddy Pedrique says
Mendes bros ! I wonder how many world titles they'd end up with if they kept competing
Oyster Popsicles says
Great video, thank you for putting some focus on Gui. Although I love both Mendes bros, Rafa always seems to get a lot of the light. Surprised to not see Rickson though, he can definitely hang!
Demian 'The Backpack' Maia says
Personally I would just love to see Rafa vs Marcelo, maybe adcc rules, or else ebi overtime

Fun list, but Eddie Bravo.. Really? no disrespect to him, but he never won a major tournament and outside of his last fight with 50 year old Royler, hasn't competed in over 10 years. Maybe others his age, but not the younger better competitors of today.
Johny Wheadon says
What about rigan machado?
Juan Fernandez says
where is rodolfo vieira?
Timbales1979 says
Dude, you forgot CM Punk.
Remember that awesome BJJ career he had? He retired from BJJ undefeated before going on to absolutely dominate in MMA.
I'm just saying…
It's a little disrespectful for you to not include the GOAT.
Prometheus Theseus says
AOJ is one of the best BJJ academies in the world! I wouldn't want to be taught by no-one else but them.
Edwin Feliz says
roger gracie
Al Koalholic says
I wonder if Rafa had those rings made, or are those rings given out to the champion at worlds? It's like a world series ring or something.

My teacher Alexandre Soca has been winning everything at the Masters division. 4 time Worlds Masters champion and two time Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Legends Superfight Champion. He was also the original ADCC first champion. He was supposed to fight Eddie Bravo but that match never happened. According to Soca himself, he is the best shape of his life now. He teaches virtually every class at his academy, Soca BJJ in Long Island, NY and rolls every day against all his students. Alexandre Soca vs Eddie Bravo would be an incredible match. They both consider Jean Jacques Machado as their teacher and main influence in their Jiu Jitsu.

rafa the goat
Michael Phillips says
Pretty much any former BJJ champ 30-40 years old could still win. Just the pay off is so small compare to MMA. They cannot focus there whole life like most MMA fighters. Many MMA guys compete into there 30s and it's harder training imo… Masters division at 30 years old is too young
K. Sham says
Romulo isn't retired. No disrespect to eddie, but he never won anything in his prime and his greatest achievement as of recent, was beating a 50 year old royler. I'd put rodolfo and Roger instead of them.
