🏅2005 American BJJ Black Belt Tournament: within 6 months old as black belt I fought the tough Cassio Werneck – 2003 BB @IBJJF World Champ, 2004 BB Worlds Silver medalist – in the finals!
💥 IPPON SEOI NAGE 🥋.
*detail to apply a good drop seoi nage: open up with a nice Couchi Gari, then the 💥 applying a nice Drop Ippon SEOi NAGE with your knees on the floor but you must have the tip of your toes “alive” so you can have power to throw your opponent. Your toes 🦶 will give you a good grip to come up faster…use your hips faster and stronger. Also, you must have a great upper body turn. So you can hit the outside shoulder on your opponent. That will increase the leverage of your technique!
⚫️🔴That was my 5th tournament as black belt #TTJiuJitsu 💕.
🤩I remember I made $1k that day haha 💰and when I won that I thought: “I’M RICH!!!” 😂 kidding! But it was super fun!
🏆I’ll post the entire fight soon on my IG where you will be able to see & learn a little on how I KILL THE BUTTERFLY 🦋 GUARD in this fight.
Werneck was super well known by his butterfly 🦋 guard game. ✊🏽.
